Rugby is the Best!
Chapter 1 Famous rugby player
Once there were four famous rugby players. They played for the All Blacks. Their names were Isaac, Jack, Sam and Todd.
My favourite player is Isaac. He is on his 455th test match. He is one of the best players in the world.
My favourite try in the world was done by my friend Sam. He cross kicked but I caught the ball and scored.
My favourite tackle was when an Otago guy was running to the try line. I took him out and the crowd went wild. If it wasn’t because of the best mum in the world, I wouldn’t be in the All Blacks. Always listen to your mum. They always have good ideas.
Chapter 2 How to be an All Black.
You need to be a good sport and don’t argue with the referee. If you argue, then you will give the other team a penalty.
Do not do a head high tackle and do not purposely collapse the scrum because that is being a bad sport and could paralyse a player.
To be an All Black you need to be a good role model to the younger kids. This means you need to be good sport in the game, play fair and and make good choices off the field.
Chapter 3 How to train at home.
First you need to build some goal posts in your garden like Dan Carter had, so you can practise kicking goals.
You will need to practise with friends and practice every day. This way you will grow accuracy and stamina. This it the way to become a perfect player.
You could try…. using a hit pad, kicking to a buddy or passing drills.
